It depends.
I play without house rules, play GM only so my team is subjected to weird lineups like the AI (AI prioritizing offense over defense) play with very hard trading and other adjusted settings and I haven't been able to run through the AI in all the versions I've played. I can count on one hand how many times I gm'd a team to the world series.
