Johnson spent eight seasons during two different stints with the D-Backs. He was there from 1999 through 2004 (six years) and was there in 2007 and 2008 as well. He spent nine seasons plus a couple of months with the Mariners (May 25, 1989 - July 31, 1998). The difference in playing time is not that significant, but the difference in quality of playing time is. He also appeared in 41 more games and made 34 more starts with the Mariners. During that time he won 12 more games and lost 12 more games than he did with the D-Backs. So, even if you go by Win%, he was better as a D-Back.
