The attitude was sufficiently off-putting that I departed for two months (see my current sig). If I encounter that attitude yet again I just may return to exile, this time permanently.

I was actually wondering the other day where you had been. I do hope that you will look past the negativity that is sometimes on these boards. You have always been a valuable member of the community with a wealth of baseball knowledge.

Yes, I can rename them, but it seems a bit tedious if I wanted to use a number of them. Then again, I'd like to be able to turn off fictional coaches and only have players, real or fictional from my universe become coaches. But that's just me.

I'm with you 100% on this. I enjoy reading the strategy profiles and selecting the best fit for my team. I just wish the profiles were directly tied to the managers.
I would also like to be able to have a conversation with my manager and try to alter his strategy. Say for example, we have a lot of speed but my manager is not using it correctly, I would want to tell the manager that he needs to utilize speed more effectively or risk being let go.
That is where I believe the much debated manager skill comes into play. How well does he manage the strengths and weaknesses of his team.
