1: an improved and user-friendly financial model that makes more sense (market size being better explained and making more sense is included in this) and doesn't take so much tinkering to get working right
2: if not outright promotion/relegation (which is my #1 wish by far) then an option to check so that the AI knows it desperately needs to avoid finishing in last or the last 3 slots so our manual pro/rel leagues work a little better
3: better end of season pitcher usage and playoff pitcher usage.
4: the ability for the AI to "know" user-scheduled playoff games are upcoming and rejigger it's lineups accordingly
5: a tournament mode or the ability to schedule an in-season tournament like the FA Cup
6: and this shouldn't be last, a smarter AI approach to team-building. too many times teams run out an absolute nobody to start the year (and often all year) that puts up a 8 or 10+ ERA while spending huge money on a backup C or a setup man or something. a better ranking of the importance of different roles would be nice.
7: 2D animation that goes fast. players as dots that reflect their skills, ball coming off the bat reflecting how hard and where they hit it. as simple as that, 3D looks like a step too far based on what I saw last year and I love the direction that is going but think 2D is a better first step
