The fans of the Atlantics saw their team slip out of contention for the NL pennant as the team posted a slightly below average month in September. They lie 3rd in the table after a record of 4-5.

The batting scored a low 53 runs in September in 9 games. The best of the batting was in the form of Short Stop Davy Force. Force put up 14 hits, 5 runs and 9 RBI's in 37 at bats. This produced his average of .378 for the month

The pitching of Ed Stratton continued to be solid during September. He pitched all 9 games with 82 innings worth of work. In these innings he gave up 102 hits and 26 earned runs for an ERA of 2.85. The team gave up a total of 67 runs during the month.

All the minor league players were call up due to the roster expansion

They started with a win and a loss against the Chicago White Stockings. The scores were 9-7 and 3-15
The next series saw the team lose 1-2 against the Cincinnati Reds. The scores were 7-8, 13-6 and 5-10
The team were then losers 1-2 in a series against the Boston Red Stockings. The scores were 2-6, 1-6 and 7-4.
They finished with a 6-5 win against the Chicago White Stockings.

The team will finish with 2 more games against the White Stockings in October. We will bring a full season review once these games are complete.
