I started a Canadian Baseball League with this:

With talent randomness at 200 and favoring prospects and trading very hard. Loads of fun. The league is nicely set up and worth a look, since you are Canadian you might be interested in it.
I always played with the MLB rosters before, so the CBL is a nice change.
