The fans of the Brown Stockings are starting to get nervous as they see the Canaries making a run at their team. The team managed to pick up 4 wins and 3 losses during the month to leave them top of the AL table with a 3.5 game advantage.
The team scored 65 runs during the month. The best of these was Right Fielder George Hall, Hall produced a wonderful performance as he had 16 hits from 30 at bats to give him an average of .533. He also claimed 9 runs and 6 RBI's. This gained him the AL Batter of the Month award.
The pitching of George Zettlein continued to be solid during the month. He pitched 56.2 innings in 7 games for an ERA of 2.06. He gave up 68 hits and 13 earned runs. The team gave up a total of 38 runs.
