The Cleveland Forest City's form fell back to the usual in July as they managed a 2-6 record for the month. This was enough to keep them in third place in the AL table but they are now 8 games behind the leaders.

The batting struggled to score only 39 runs during the month. The best was Dickey Pearce. Short Stop Pearce started 6 of the 8 games. He posted an average of .364 from 22 at bats. He gained 8 hits, 5 runs and 6 RBI's. The next best starter was Tom J Carey with an average of .303

Count Sensenderfer has returned from injury

The pitching tried its best but without the batting to back it up they couldn't win the games. Cy Bentley's form slipped back slightly in July. He posted an ERA of 4.88. He pitched 55.1 innings giving up 81 hits and 31 earned runs. The team gave up 68 runs in total.

The players called up for the All Star game included Pitchers Cy Bentley and Candy Cummings, Second Baseman Tom J Carey, Short Stop Dickey Pearce, Left Fielders Ned Cuthbert and Count Gedney, Centre Fielder Dave Eggler and Right Fielder Al Reach

The only starter for the losing AL team was Dave Eggler

They then had 1 win and 2 losses to the Philadelphia Athletics. The scores were 11-15, 5-8 and 7-1
They finished with 3 games against the Baltimore Canaries winning 1 and losing 2. The scores were 3-16, 2-7 and 8-3.
