The Brooklyn Atlantics are so close to the pennant that the fans can almost feel and taste it. All they need to do is win their last game in October and they will be there. In September they went 3-2 to leave them in first place 1 game of the title.

The batting managed to score 42 runs during the month. The best of the batting came in the form of Right Fielder George Bechtel. He averaged .478 in the month from 23 at bats. He had 11 hits, 3 runs and 8 RBI's

John McMullin continued to produce with the ball. He had an ERA of 3.40 from 45 innings pitched. He had 44 hits and 17 earned runs posted against him. The team gave up a total of 35 runs during the month.

Tommy Beals returned from the DL during the month but they lost second baseman Sam Jackson for 5 months due to a fractured knee.
