September 1904

I am so proud of this team.
After a horrible start, the New York Giants go 15-11 for September and 5-1 for a short October to finish only 2 games under .500.
Combined for the last 3 months of the 1904 season , the Giants went 37-23.
Pretty darn good.
We finished with the most runs scored in the NL and the highest OBP.
Even the rotation settled down a little and did the jobs they needed to do.
Thats the good news that we have something to build on for 1905.
The bad news...because we finished in the position that we did...im going to miss getting the jewel of the 1905 draft.
Some guy who will probably never amount to anything in the majors anyway.
He goes by the name of Tyrone...last name Cobb!!
The Washington Senators will have the first pick.
Damn!
Maybe ill make a trade.
Anyway...a great finish for the 1904 NYG!
Will post the playoff results and awards soon....
