The Athletics fans saw the team continue its struggles as they recorded a 1-3 win loss record in July. This also saw them slip to the bottom of the AL table.

The batting continued to post a poor run total as they managed only 22 runs in july. The best batter in that time was Right Fielder Gat Stires. Stires posted a .400 average in the month with 6 hits from 15 at bats. He scored 4 runs and had 2 RBI's.

The pitching continued to post good numbers with Dick McBride posting an ERA of 1.91 for the month. He gave up 44 hits and 7 earned runs in 33 innings pitched. The team continued to struggle in the field as they gave up a total of 37 runs.

The players picked for the AL all star team included Pitcher Dick McBride, Catcher Doug Allison, First Baseman Everett Mills, Third Baseman Pete Donnelly and Andy Leonard and Right Fielder Gat Stires.

The players starting for the AL team in the 8-2 win was Andy Leonard and Doug Allison.
