Monthly Review
The San Diego Padres got off to a hot start, posting the second best record in the MLB at 16-7. Outside of San Diego the NL West is looking like a relatively weak division, and the Padres have already jumped out to a 5.5 game lead over the second place Dodgers. The pitching staff for San Diego has looked lights out as they lead the NL in practically every statistical category.
