But IRL do GM's or coaches know when this is going to happen to a player? Well, there maybe some clues but not always and hey IRL guys sign huge contracts only to get crap out of a player so I don't feel like this is something that needs to be added to the game. Besides, there are "some" clues to when it may happen:

-age
-injuries
-scouting reports can change(I believe) w/o ratings hits(not certain though).
