IF the manager mode is such a bad idea and so tremendously flawed then why would you play 40 years worth?
If you won EVERY World Series then the game is too easy. Some people just can never be happy. I am not saying that about you but the way you have blasted the game for the mode is definately the wrong way.
I have played the manager mode quite a few times over the past few months and thought that even though it is flawed, it is pretty solid for a first attempt. I like it and I don't think that there is a complex in the game to make the better team lose in the playoffs.
Maybe the team you had in year 40 wasn't good enough?
Teams with 3 stud pitchers and decent offence can beat a team that has decent pitching and great offence. It happens all the time. If it didn't then where would the excitment be?
Please turn it off if you don't like it but don't come on here looking for help and ripping the mode. Most people enjoy it, some don't
