Original World of Baseball universe, by dward1
2062 Continental Championships - lots of good background info about country competitions
I'm not so good at creating original worlds or writing descriptive backgrounds. But taking an existing framework and doing interesting stuff with it, that I can do. So I guess this is more or less the bad fan fiction version of World of Baseball. You should definitely check out the original, it's actually interesting and well-written.
Copied [and edited] from the World Cup 2064 thread:
This universe began at the start of the 2064 season, when it split off from the "World of Baseball: South Africa" dynasty's universe. (This is where the copied save file started.) In this universe, the focus is not on the South Africa region, but the world as a whole. There may be some interesting things happening in the local leagues, but the story here will be more about the international competitions and the teams that compete in them. For the most part, things will be very similar to the original universe. The same names and faces are the same at the start, but the futures will likely diverge widely. Already, the 2064 draft class is a very different set of players, though their effects are still minimal as of yet.
This topic starts at the beginning of the 2065 season.

2065 Northern Europe Expansion
Vienna's win of the Champions Cup inspired expansion in Northern Europe for 2065. The 2 new teams are the Nice Aiglons (France) and Trondheim Trolls (Norway's first team).
Thanks to an experimental change to the Expansion Draft (and by "experimental" I mean "oops"), moving the date of the draft to the day after free agent filings, the expansion teams only drafted 1 player and instead filled their rosters with free agents. This resulted in much better expansion teams, but really messed with the free agent market.
