2021 Golden Arm Award Winners
García Takes Home DEConf Golden Arm Award: In the twilight of his career, Tony García has no intention of going anywhere anytime soon. The 35-year-old Generals starter hoisted up the Delaware Conference Golden Arm Award earlier today, silencing critics who thought it was time for the "old man" to retire.
García crafted an ERA of 3.77 as he won 21 games, dropped 5, fanned 164 and gave up 58 walks in 226.2 innings of work.
Norfolk Ace Cops MVConf Golden Arm Award: Cavaliers ace Miguel Contreras is the latest MarVa Conference Golden Arm Award trophy winner. The Norfolk star shined on the diamond time and again this year and finished with an outstanding 21-9 record.
In 31 starts he tossed 229.1 innings, posted 236 strikeouts and sported a 1.92 ERA. Opposing batters hit .193 when Contreras was pitching.
