Default install
C:/Users/"You"/Documents/OOTP/OOTP15/Saved games/????.lg/news/txt/players
Make a copy of you .lg folder for a back up.
If you sort by file name they will sort in numerical order. You can then see if the file exists.
1) If not then create a blank file with the file name. See if that fixes it.
2) If it does exist try to open it.
