And most of those hundreds or thousands of players also aren't (all against active players)

2nd in offensive WAR
8th in AVG
14th in OBP
1st in runs scored
1st in hits
2nd in total bases
8th in walks
etc, etc, etc

They also don't have a .321 lifetime batting average in the World Series or a .384 OBP. They also aren't a lock for the hall of fame. So yes, I do think Jeter deserves to be mentioned over the hundreds, perhaps thousands of players who stayed clean during the steroid era without insulting them
