In an era of cheaters, Jeter always remained above that. Yes, his playboy style isn't a great role model for kids but it basically remained private. However, the way he played the game was the PERFECT role model for young ball players. Go out there and play the game as hard as you can all the time, and do it cleanly.

I'll give you this much, but that can be said about plenty of players.
Jeter is good, very good even. The reason he'll always have a backlash is because of people who can't seen to take his balls off of their chin. He might be the first player to be so overrated he's underrated and then overrated again.
