LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS

AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
In the 44th American League Championship Series, the Seattle Mariners and Minnesota Twins faced off for the title.

In the end, the Twins managed to their third AL pennant in franchise history (1987, 1991) and first in 21 years after winning the ALCS in five games.

NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES
The NLCS featured an unlikely pair. The Chicago Cubs, who last won an NL pennant in 2003, versus the New Orleans Pelicans, who last won a pennant as the Milwaukee Brewers of the AMERICAN LEAGUE back in 1982.

In the end, the Cubs aimed to provide their fans with another season of heartache? Who knows, all we do know is the Cubs win their second pennant in 68 years, to give the club a chance to break the 105-year World Series drought.
