Well I did a small test run today. I created a 2-team league with 92 players, and took IDs 1-92 from the OOTP 15 rosters I had already numbered. These were guys from the CPBL (first players in first alphabetical league). So I did the copy over the fictional guys thing and reimported. All 92 CPBL guys were there as expected. After the necessary re-scout, I sampled one player, MR Miguel Mejia. All ratings, with the exception of Stuff versus righties and lefties were accurate. In 15, on the 1-250 scale, Mejia was 79 against LHB and 69 against RHB, overall 74. In 14, he is 85 and 64 against LHB and RHB respectively, but his overall is still 74. This could be due to the different "R/L Split" found in the editor was much less in 14 compared to 15. It was .6484 in 14 and .7506 in 15. I have no idea for why this would be, as all pitch ratings are the same. It could just be how the split is calculated in 14 compared to 15.

The only things that were completely wrong were the injury proneness ratings. In 15, Mejia had realistic ratings of 33, 84, 4, and 13. In 14, his ratings are 1 across the board. Whether this will lead to few injuries in general, I don't know. Everything else, including personality, was fine.

Another pitcher I sampled, Ken Ray, had actual proneness ratings in 14, however, not the same as 15. This leads me to believe that proneness ratings are simply not carried over in roster exports/imports, just like injuries and suspensions. However, because Ken Ray had a contract in 15, and I essentially made him a free agent by changing is team ID to 0 when editing the rosters. This leads him to, in his editor, have a 1 year, $27.5K guaranteed contract, just like in 15. However, he is still a free agent, which leads me to believe that that is "purely cosmetical".

I also sampled a hitter, Chih-Yao Chan. Everything was proper except for injury proneness.

CONCLUSION: You can import/export rosters from OOTP 15 to OOTP 14, and probably vice versa, just fine, as long as you follow the protocols when doing any roster switching.

Success! (for the first time in a while)
