I'll try my luck guessing the order of things...
1 - We get an update from the devs.
2 - 2014/15 season begins.
3 - We get the patch
4 - FHM 2015 is renamed as FHM 2016
5 - 2015/16 season starts and FHM 2016 are released somewhat simultaneously.
It's pretty much the only avenue I can see making any sense.
