1955 Regular Season
The Red Sox started the season with a 16-32 record, the worst team in baseball by 5 games. This puts them on pace for the top pick in the draft. They already have Don Drysdale, Frank Robinson and Willie McCovey. Adding another superstar level player may turn this team into the next dynasty. These guys just have to develop. I actually think we may have a Red Sox/Tigers War for the next decade!

Oh wow, I just checked on Bob Feller in his quest to become the all-time strikeout leader. He suffered an injury in August of last year. Bone chips in his elbow which ended his season. He’s come back this year just terrible. This injury has pretty much destroyed his ratings. He looks like a AA pitcher right now. He needs another 30 k’s to set the record. If he isn’t sent down, he should get there, but getting sent down to Miami is a distinct possibility.

On June 29 th, with 7 strikeouts in a loss to the Phillies, Bob Feller passed Satchel Paige on the all-time strikeout list with his 5703 rd K.
Strikeout king, Bob Feller.
Just like in real life, Mickey Mantle has been battling injuries his whole career. The 23 year old still has is playing in his 5 th full season. He’s been placed on the DL 8 times already. It’s looking like the Mick is destined to never be healthy.
The Milwaukee Braves went on a huge run, winning 18 of 19 games during the end of August/beginning of September in order to make the NL pennant race close. They only made it close though, and were not able to overtake the Brooklyn Dodgers for the Pennant. In the AL, the city of Baltimore will get it’s first taste of post season action, as the Orioles lead from start to finish.
