I'd even be happy with a button that says something like 'request new stadium' and if it gets accepted you get 'Generic Stadium' built that is bigger and more upto date.
Going with stadiums what about some times getting their stadiums sponsored as another form of income? Obviously not the player scrolling through potential sponsors just a message could say 'we've secured a new sponsorship deal on the ball park worth X $$ for X years'
