Kevin has been a consistent ballplayer throughout most of his career. As he closes in on 3000 hits he has lost a step or two but still gets the job done. Kevin grew up in Huntsville, AL,EA and used to watch many Huntsville Stars games.He has seen many great Oakland A's players come thru the Stars. He grew up an Athletics & Cardinals fan.
Although he never played high school baseball he decided to enter a tryout camp for the EBL in 2002 and impressed many scouts and managers. Admiral Fox noticed this scrappy kid who had a lot of speed. Kevin went in the 9th rd to Endor City in the 2002 inaugural draft. after arriving in Endor City Kevin made his mark early on. He hit lead in his 10 seasons with the Caps. In 2004, Kevin set the EBL record for single season batting average at .419 that stood until Nick Sullivan broke it in 2020 at .422. He still holds the AL mark. He set the stolen bases record in 2010 that has since been surpassed by Will Witterquick & Keith Fitzpatrick.
After becoming a FA after the 2012 season Kevin signed with his favorite team, the Oakland A's. this was a team that featured dual leadoff guys in Kevin & Theo Radcliffe. the A's powered their way to a World Series appearance vs the Miami Marlins in 2015. The came back to beat the Mighty NY Mets in 2017, however Kevin did not play in the World Series.
Since the 2017 season Kevin has some injury issues. He has bounced around the league with a few teams before settling down in St Louis. The Cardinals have not been too competitive the last few seasons and Kevin has seen himself turn more into a bench player. Kevin says he wants to manage when his playing days are over and is also a co-owner of Gordon-France Motorsports with his boyhood idol Jeff Gordon. Kevin won the 2017 Long Beach Grand Prix Pro/Celebrity Race beating out Vanessa Marcil.
