The stadium sizes can be fixed by downloading the park files from OOTPmods.com. This will allow you to import historic parks sometimes they are a little big because they reflect the park after the last expansion.
Financials can be a little more tricky if you play reserve clause era. I find this one harder to fix. Teams seem to have a lot of money especially in the 19th century. I usually cut average attendance by about 75% but you have to do this every year. I think the default financials are off for the early years but work well for modern baseball with free agency. Extra money just means bigger contracts with free agency. Without it you don't have the bidding wars for top players and teams seem to be flush with cash. average attendance is easiest to adjust.
