If I wasn't doing the work, it would go to one or more large corporations, who would charge more to do it while doing it not quite as well. If you prefer a world of only large corporations, in which I "knew my place" and worked for one, that's fine. But I don't.
There is an alternative in America (and in Germany, hello Markus) to being an employee. Too few people realize that.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.
