GM Notes:
I feel like my guys just don't come through when they need to, we leave way too many men on base. So I took a look at my #3,4,5 hitters to see how they are doing with RISP. And its really not bad at all.
Francsico Reyes: .292-11-66 (137 AB's)
Jeff Lewes: .398-6-68 (123 AB's)
King Brock: .287-7-49 (115 AB's)
I think I might play around with lineup some move Lewis to the #2 hole where he spent most of last season. I don't know though. He is really hitting the ball well and I don't want to "jinx" him... For as bad as I feel like this offense has been doing, we are someone #2 in runs scored. I would of guessed we were middle of the pack... One reason I pulled off that big trade was for financial purposes and part of the end goal, which included trading Francisco Reyes this off-season. I am getting nervous about doing that now, however, these young kids (Javier Janchez, Yann Gosselin and Sergio Galvez) arne't doing as well as I had hoped... Our pitching staff has continued to carry us, and they are a good group of guys. It was nice to see Will Rose pitch well this week, 3.1 IP 0 Runs. This group of guys is the reason we have a shot this post-season... This schedule has been odd this year, we finished this week with 3 in Salisbury and finsih the upcoming week with 3 more in Salisbury. Just strange. One week to go till September.
