1950 World Series

Yoshie keeps doing what he’s been doing in the opener, throwing a complete game, 2 hit shutout, in what will go down as one the most dominant pitching performance in World Series History.
9 innings, 2 hits, 2 walks, 7 K's, 2-0 win.

Dodgers ace Lou Brissie does an amazing job for his team in a back and forth game 2. With the Dodgers leading 4-3 in the ninth, Richie Ashburn walked, and moved to third on an error. He was brought in on a sac fly, and extra inning were needed. Brissie pitched a scoreless 10th inning, and would get the win when the Dodgers scored in the 11th. 5-4 Brooklyn to tie the series. Ted Williams left the game in the 5th, and will miss the remainder of the series.

Back in Brooklyn, Robin Roberts shuts down the powerful White Sox offense, and the Dodgers take it 3-1.

The Dodgers commit 3 errors, and 21 year old Curt Simmons allowed a 1st inning run. Still, Simmons allows 3 hits the rest of the game, and beats Sox ace Eishie 3-1!

Jack Maguire’s lead off home run starts a 3 run first inning. That’s a lead Lou Brissie would never surrender. The Dodgers have proved me very very wrong, and won their 3rd straight World Series!!
