Transactions: Dan Nelson has been sent down to AAA to work on his stuff and hopefully find it. After a solid year last season 2-0 2.11, he has been unable to find the grove 1-2 7.71. WHIP: 1.41 vs 2.06... Coming up to replace Nelson is Lorenzo Reyes. Reyes signed a minor-league deal in the off-season, he hasn't been great in AAA (2-0 9.00), but we hope he finds a spark. He is on a short leash.

GM Notes:
I keep looking at the DL and I see that Will Rose will be eligible to come off the DL in 4 weeks. Then 2 weeks in AAA (maybe more) then I will have another solid reliever, hopefully. It will be intersting to see how he bounces back after a year off... I got a little nervous when Takayuki Iemochi took a ratings dip, and Miguel got hurt, but it looks like Takayuki is still alright. he is just having an pretty great season. Going deep in games, and being that "guy" who eats innings for us... I am thinking about letting Ed Duke go, save me some money and allow John O and John P to hold down catching duties. I actually thought Duke was going to be around a lot longer, but defenisvely and offensively he and John O seem to be 'same'. I just don't see Duke hitting .300+ again. Not sure, I will have to see if there is a deal worth making... I am looking around for some bullpen help, but its been hard with the lack of budget space. Not to mention other teams and their lack of budget space. Just hard to make a trade in this enviornment right now, at least with the teams that I am interested in talking to.
