July 25,26,27 v California Angels

July 25-Rico Petrocelli homered and drove in three runs, and Tommy Helms and Richie Scheinblum added two RBI each as the 7-8-9 hitters for the Sox went 7-11 with 7 RBI as Boston got past California 8-7. (53-44)

July 28--4 separate Twins drove in a pair of runs, including Harmon Killebrew, who his his ML leading, 35th homerun of the year, helping Minnesota defeat Boston in a 11-8 slugfest. Rico Carty hit a three run homerun and Carl Yastrzemski added a solo shot in the loss. (53-47)

Couple of headscratchers here. The Tigers trading Cash I don't understand, but another nice move by the Pirates, who appear to be in full rebuild mode.
