The Marquette Suns are now available in the Monty Brewster World Baseball Association.

Marquette (Michigan) is in the midst of a rebuild. They're currently at 70-83, 3rd place in the Frick League Midwest Division, 25 games out of first. That they have this good of a record is a surprise. It's a team that currently lacks an identity.

29 year old catcher Eric Melton is the top position player for the Suns, having been named to the Frick League All-Star team for the second time of his career this season. The Suns fourth round draft pick in 2009, Melton is a top offensive player against right-handed pitching, but struggles against lefties. He has a stellar arm behind the dish, but his overall catching abilities are middling. He's hit no less than .311 in every season since his rookie year, when he batted .288.

In his second full season in the bigs, right-hander Francis Rollins has emerged as the Suns ace starter. He's a control pitcher relying on hitting his spots and keeping the ball in the park, and he can't go deep into games, making him more of a mid-rotation starter on a contender. Still, this 25 year old acquired from Montreal in 2014 is a nice start towards putting together a winning rotation.

This is a rare public opening for the MBWBA. If you're interested, please PM me on the OOTP Forums, or register for our forums following the links in the top post of this thread.
