1947-48 Offseason News and Notes

The Say Hey kid is available. Willie Mays has been drafted 1st overall by the Detroit Tigers. Elston Howard going 12th to Boston is a steal.

Chuck Klein only played 15 years in the Majors, but in reality, he only played about 10. His last 5 years were barely spent on the field. To win 5 MVP's over a 10 year playing career, he was one of the best players of his time, and IMO, deserves this Hall of Fame honor.

William Bell went from a good pitcher, to a great pitcher, and had some fantastic years after the age of 35.
