Easiest way is to make a notepad file. Use baseball reference for the player ID. so say ruthba01,1927
thomafr02,1990
jacksobo01,1986
hornsbro01,1922
and so on see my attachment
when you get to the import player screen select your list and then the other options.

for teams go to League settings - League & Teams - Edit league Structure - add historical team. i have not done this on 15 yet so it may be slightly different from past versions but you used to select the year refresh list slect your team repeat. generate schedule when done.
maybe try a GMO schedule.
