Deconstructing Harry

Lovely '75 Topps Rasmussen creation but he was still going by "Harry" at that point. Didn't switch to "Eric" until 1977. That led to two versions of the same Topps card, a proof reading "Harry Rasmussen" and an issued card reading "Eric Rasmussen."

Then as now I could never understand why, if you were a Major League pitcher intent on changing your first name to something entirely new, you'd go for "Eric" rather than Sandy or Christy or Cy.
