JOURNELL TO REDS: I HATE THIS !#$# PLACE!
Cincinnati Reds starter Jimmy Journell, traded to his third club in just over a month said he wants out of Cincy. The two-time Cy Young Award winner said he wants to play for a winner and that spending his time in Cincinnati will not cut it in a free agent year.

"Look at this club?! They're not trying to improve when I'm the only pitcher on the mound that gives them a chance to win. I can't go everyday. What are they doing?" he said.

Cincinnati ownership would not comment on the rumors.

NELLY RIDES BACK TO NEW ORLEANS
NEW ORLEANS - Oregon Emeralds star Cornell "Nelly" Haynes, Jr. has been traded to the NL South leading New Orleans Pelicans for two minor leaguers yesterday. As stipulated in Nelly's league-minimum deal, he has the power to request a trade and to have it executed to wherever he wants to go. He wanted to go to St. Louis, but the club didn't have a need for him. "I didn't want to go there and mess that good thing they go going. Here, I can chill in the cut down in Nawlins and help them boys win a title, ya heard meh?

Haynes, 32, has been an integral part of the baseball landscape in Oregon during just over 2 years there. He earned his second all-star apperance last season with the club and had his fourth straight 100+ RBI season, with a career high 14 triples.

The Pelicans are already preparing for the player's arrival and Nelly is reportedly working on a record deal and movie blockbuster produced by mogul Master P detailing his rise from poverty to rap star to baseball star. "It's gonna be called Diamonds and it should be HOT," he said.

Production should begin in the off-season. Master P is reportedly interested in buying a stake in the club to keep it from moving. New owner Red McCombs has not made any statements regarding the club's future in New Orleans, but has stated he would be interested in having a team in his native San Antonio.
