On June 21, Doc Lane held Cincinnati to 3 hits as Philadelphia shutout the Reds, 2 to 0. Tony Hughes held Philadelphia to 6 hits and had 1 of the Reds 3 at bat.

Also on June 21, down 8 to 1 in the 7th against visiting Louisville, Pittsburg scored 3 times in the 7th, 4 times in the 8th and once in the bottom of the 9th to win, 9 to 8. LF Albion Floyd knocked in the game winner.

On June 23, down 2 to 1 going into the 9th at Pittsburg, Louisville scored 4 times to go ahead, 5 to 2, but Louisville scored 3 times in the bottom of the 9th to tie it up on SS John Price's 2-out 2-run double. Price who was batting .153 in 131 at bats coming into this game, had 4 hits. Louisville 3B Dave Thompson committed 2 errors in the 9th to prolong the inning. Louisville scored a run in the top of the 12th, but Pittsburg responded with 2 in the bottom of the inning to win, 7 to 6, on another 2-run double, this one by 3B Harry Beyer.

Also on June 23, New Haven scored twice in the bottom of the 9th to beat Boston, 7 to 6. A 2-out error by 2B Fred Franklin let the winning run score.

On June 26, CF Joe Matlock was injured in Chicago's 7 to 4 loss at Brooklyn. He's expected to miss 5 to 6 weeks.

Also on June 26, down in the National Association, Manchester pitcher Steve Sedam had to leave with no outs in the 2nd inning when he tore ligaments in his elbow. Doctors figure him to miss a year at least. He was 13-6 with a 1.38 ERA. The 13 wins lead the NA. Gene Brandt came in and pitched the final 8 innings. holding Baltimore to 1 hit, as the league-leading Farmers won 11 to 0.

On June 28, LF William Carroll was injured in Brooklyn's 4 to 1 loss against New Haven. He tore a ligament in his thumb and is expected to miss 3 to 4 weeks.

Also on June 28, 28-year-old Henry Bray made his Liberty League debut for Pittsburg and defeated Chicago, 8 to 3.
