Thursday July 13 vs. Detroit Wolverines (23-19 tied for 2nd place in the Liberty League)

John Walker, Det. (26 R 10-7 1.65) vs. Abe Lowe, Troy (27 R 15-16 1.99)

Lost: 5 to 3

9 errors today did us in. 2 by Lowe himself, so he cannot complain too loudly. He also was our big bat in the game with 3 hits. 2b Dan Owens had 2 hits and scored 2 of our 3 runs, but also made 2 of the errors.

Other doin's:
Philadelphia (6) at Boston (8): Monk Cunningham (17-17) over Dave Watford (6-7). Boston scored all 8 of its runs in the 1st inning when they had 10 hits, including 3 triples. Manager Watford settled down and held the Red Caps to 5 hits the rest of the way.

Baltimore (3) at Washington (12): Paul O'Sullivan (3-4) over Steve Sedam (6-14). cf Amos Martin had 4 hits, including a triple. He scored twice and knocked in 3.

New York (3) at St. Louis (4): Al Byrne (8-2) over Harry Mays (18-13). Byrne also had 2 hits at the plate.
