New York (1) at Baltimore (2): Miller Bullock (8-9) over John Kyle (3-7). Kyle continues his tough luck. He allowed only 3 hits. He was leading 1 to 0 going into the bottom of the 8th. A pair of errors and a pair of singles did him in. The second single that knocked in the winning run was by pitcher Miller Bullock, a .131 hitter on the season.
Detroit (7) at Philadelphia (8): Paul Skinner (14-10)) over John Walker (6-5). Philadelphia scored 4 times in the bottom of the 9th to win. The final blow was 2-run double by c Pidgey Weaver, playing in his 4th game of the year. 3b Joe Carter had 4 hits for Philly. 3b Bub Nelson hit a home run and had 4 RBIs for Detroit.
Boston (4) at St. Louis (7): Dick Dixon (12-12) over Monk Cunningham (12-13). lf Bill Hummel had a double and a triple. He scored twice and knocked in a pair of runs.
