Forgive me or point me in the right direction if this has been asked before, but can you change the expansion draft date or does it always schedule it for the next day following clicking on the expansion option under league settings?

I want to announce the expansion in the pre-season, then go through the year and not have the actual draft until the following February. This way teams can plan (in theory), plus I can watch some of the younger plays in the minors to get an idea of whom I might want to draft.
