Injury News: We have been dealt some bad news. Will Rose has damaged his elbow ligament and will miss the next 13-14 months! Rose has been our left-set-up man for the past 4 years and he will be missed. He is under contract thru the 2020 season, and we look forward to getting him back. This season Will has pitche din 27 games, 21.2 innings, with a 2-0 record and 3.74 ERA. He will be sent to the 60-day DL... Derek Carter has been recalled to take Will's roster slot.
Around the League: - Francisco Durango, one of the offensive starts for the Baltimore Barons will miss 3-4 weeks after hearniating a disc during a game earlier this week. Durango has been a key part to the Barons offense hitting .314-12-33 on the season.
- Kyle Stanford of the Salisbury Ports has thrown in 26 games this season, posting a 3-0 5.40 record, but his season is coming to an end. He has been shut down with a torn back muscle and is expected to miss 4-5 months.

GM Notes: I reached out to Roberto Perez and made him an offer. He was looking for 9 years @ 19 million per year, so I approached him with a 6 year @ 16.5 million per year deal. He said he would think about it. Ever have buyers regret? Well I am pretty sure I will if he signs this deal. If he does sign, then you can expect us to move Mike Ford, shift King Brock to 1B and have Perez DH. Guess we will sit back and see what he has to say... This was a successful week, taking 3 of 4 from the Admirals, but it showed how close we are in talent as all four games were close... It was good to see ex-Cav Joe Gould to have a solid start during game 1. He was happy we traded him away... Vaughan Griffith is turning himself into quite the reliever. I would like him in the starting rotation, but he may have to wait till next year. Ron Reilly will be moved in the off-season, especially if Perez resigns... Sergio Galvez has been impressive during his short stint with us so far, its nice having this young talent coming up. Sergio Galvez and Javier Janchez are both under 22 years old, they may be our outfield of the future... Even if we don't get Frank Combs to sign, I would have to say our draft-signings were a success. We got our #1 draft picked signed, which is always a big deal, our #2, one of our #3 and our #4. Thats a success... Mark Bolton is 2-20 in his first 5 games in A-ball. Hopefully he starts hitting the ball... I am hoping that Will Rose injury isn't going to hurt us as much as I feel it will.
