Commenting on the series, Southport skipper Charley Oscar told the press, "It was a tough series... Red Bluff really has some dangerous hitters... fortunately our pitchers kept them in the park... holding them to just 2 homers in 5 games was vital."
Red Bluff manager Jim Schubert second that assessment. "For us to win, we needed home runs... that's how we play... we didn't get them... so we'll have to go home and want until next year."
Southport will defend it Pro Cup crown against the Ruthlandian champion... Sugar Valley has a 3-2 edge over Pro Cup favorite Glasco after five games... game six of the series will be tomorrow afternoon in Glasco... if needed, game seven will also be at Athletics Field.
