I would do that. You need extra rounds for supplemental picks at the very least.

Another benefit if the age limits is the AI sends guys to the right level when you sign minor league free agents. This past season I signed a couple of infielders in their early 30s so I'd have some contingency if a guy on the big league squad got hurt. The AI sent them right to AAA whereas in the past they'd go who knows where and I'd have to manually assign them.
