It depends what kind of team you have. If you've got a powerhouse and want to win it all within the next two years, and have the cash to spare AND have addressed any other glaring weaknesses, then I say he's worth it to put you over the top.
But if you're a middle of the pack team, and just want him to get you into the playoffs, but you still have weaknesses that can't be addressed, then I wouldn't.
I have only ever ONCE paid that much for a player, and it ended up burning me because the following year, he had a month long injury and his ratings dropped afterwards, so I was stuck with a $20+ million middle of the pack starter.
