I am a fan of your stuff. It looks great. The line problems you speak of are likely due to the program you're using. You need vector for smooth lines, like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape. I am guilty (99.5% of every project I work on) of using raster based programs when I should be using inkscape(vector) just because I find it more user friendly and convenient. As a result, my lines suffer

one thing you can do to keep lines smooth if using raster is to take advantage of the blur features, and also take advantage of selection and refine tools. They aren't perfect, but really only vector is the true way to do scaleable logo work with clean lines.
