The Flames set out on a four game road trip with some new lines once again in attempt to jolt this team into life:
S.Baertschi - S.Monahan - R.Callahan
C.Glencross - J.Hudler - M.Michalek
S.Bennett - M.Reinhart - J.Jokinen
E. Poirier - M.Backland - J.Colberne
L.Smid - D.Wideman
M. Giordano - C.Butler
K.Russell - T.Brodie
K.Ramo
J.Ortio
Nov. 5
Calgary 3 @ Tampa Bay 6
Terrible game for Ramo tonight. We dominated the Lightning is shots 40-28 and he let in 5 on 21 shots before the third. Ortio went in for the final frame. Sam Bennett picked up 10 minutes in penalties.
Nov 7
Calgary 1 @ Florida 1
Ramo back in form in this game, but we had too many give aways (13) and we went 0 for 8 on the powerplay.
Nov 9
Calgary 2 @ Washington 4
Despite the score, we played a better game in Washington with only 8 give aways and less penalties. However we only managed 19 shots on Halak. Curtis Glencross scored both our goals and Milan Michalek assisted on both.
Nov 10
Calgary 1 @ Winnipeg 2
Another bad game. Low SOG, too many give aways. Our special teams did better going 1/3 on man advantage and kept the Jets 0 for 6 on their power plays.
Nov 12
Traded G Joey MacDonald to San Jose for a 3rd round pick.
So a dismal one point of 8 possible on this road trip. The Calgary Flames are now 5-12-2 this season. Last in the Pacific, last in the Western Conference.
