Tigers 9, Braves 3. [Boxscore]

Summary: Tigers slam Braves with power surge and solid pitching.

Pitching: For the second straight day, the pitching staff showed remarkable quality, holding the Braves to 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks. Let's go look at the three boys who pitched today.

Scherzer went 6.2 innings, giving up 3 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits (A double and a pair of solo HR's) and 2 walks. His stuff looked absolutely lethal at times as he sent 6 Braves down in flames. He notched the win, irrelevant as that statistic is in ST.

ST line (Final): 4-2, 3.71 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, with 30/3 K/BB in 26.2 IP.

Nathan finished off the 7th and tossed the 8th, and this time, he didn't have any issues putting away batters as he struck out 2, yielding nothing.

ST line: 0-1, 4.70 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, with 6/2 K/BB in 7.2 IP.

Knebel (minor leaguer) finished off the game, striking out 1.

ST line: 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, with 3/2 K/BB in 4.0 innings.
