I think I posted in the wrong section...I APOLOGIZE...I was thinking historical was for "historical data" but now I realize it meant for running a game set in historical time. Is it possible for a moderator to move this to the appropriate forum for me? I can't find a way to delete it. SORRY for the problems....

No problem, I moved it.
See my post above relating to this problem: it was part of a debugging tool in the pre-release versions of the new patch that wasn't shut off properly. I was the only one using it, and saving those files to the main game installation directory was as convenient a place as any for my Windows setup. Unfortunately, on a Mac, they get dumped to the applications folder, which is obviously a nuisance. There's nothing essential to the game in them (it's just a yearly dump of some player ratings), you can safely delete them. And this will be fixed soon in our next patch.
