GM Notes: Only one thing is really going to be able to bring us down at the rate we have been playing, and that is injuries. Mauro Candelaria is out for the 2nd time this year and will miss the rest of the season, Derek Campbell missed 2 weeks, now Pindea is headed to the DL. It looks like Mike Ford and King Brock will be our 1B the rest of the way... I just have to think, was it my fault that Mauro got hurt? Playing RF? He is our first-bagger. maybe I made a mistake. Hopefully Ford continues to hit the ball, we will need him, but our D is definitely going to suffer... Pitching continues to carry us, but our offense is firing on all cylinders. I don't remember a time when this team was #2 in HR's or #1 in batting Avg. With Duke, Brock, Davis, Lewis, Perez and Ford all hitting .300 plus it really helps. Getting Campbell back gives us some more power, we just need to stay healthy with 63 games to go.
