Thanks for your reply. For me it is a deal breaker because the way the game functions is just as important as the guts of the game, especially when dealing with a game that is so limited in its visual interface. I'm not expecting to see a nice 3D game like FM has. that is not important to a management game.
I do, however, believe in making the most out of what you CAN do with the game. The way the interface works and saves in most points is kind of clunky and could really be done better. To me, OOTP is the perfect balance. Its hard to describe exactly why, but the game is smooth. I can play day after day, game after game (and I have managed ENTIRE seasons.. see my 2013 Boston Red Sox thread in my sig) and the game is just so incredibly user friendly.
I understand that this is the first version of a game. I understand I understand I understand. But there are SO MANY lessons that OOTPB has already taught us about sports sims, and quality UI design is one of them. There is no reason to reinvent the wheel, especially when the information is already in house.
